About

OCTANEWS is technology news, curated by AI, sourced by humans.

Daily AI-curated coverage of datacenters, cloud, GPUs, CPUs, semiconductors, AI, software, security, energy for compute and tech IPOs — every story linked to its sources.

How it works

  1. Gather. Every morning the pipeline runs a live, web-search-grounded sweep of the last 36 hours for each section — AI, GPUs & CPUs, Datacenters, Cloud, Semiconductors, IPOs & Markets, Startups & Funding, Software & Dev, Security, Energy & Infra.
  2. Verify. A story only makes it in when it has a real, current source URL from a real publication. Anything without one is dropped; duplicates across engines and days are merged.
  3. Summarise. The AI writes a neutral headline, a one-line dek, a short summary and a few key points. No opinion, no clickbait, no invented detail.
  4. Link. Every story lists the publications it draws on, in the open. When two outlets covered it, you get both.

Editorial policy

OCTANEWS is a reader, not a reporter. It does not break news, interview sources or publish rumours; it reads what credible outlets published in the last day and a half and gives you a clean, neutral digest with the original links. Corrections made by the source publications flow through on the next run. If a story is wrong, tell us and we will pull it.

AI disclosure

Summaries on this site are generated by large language models with live web search and published automatically. The models can misread a source: treat the summary as a map, and the linked reporting as the territory. We never publish a story without at least one source link, we do not name which model wrote a given piece, and we do not run advertising inside the summaries.
